Kari Lake, a Republican candidate for governor of Arizona, thinks she understands why outgoing Rep. Liz Cheney and the media prefer to criticise her: she speaks the truth and poses a threat as a result.
"I'm telling you the truth... Because the media has informed us that discussing all of these topics is forbidden, we are unable to do so, Lake said on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" on Monday. "Vaccinations cannot be discussed. Election discourse is prohibited. Paul Pelosi cannot be brought up at this time. Nancy Pelosi, the elections, and COVID are all off-limits topics for discussion. And the reason I'm bringing up all of those issues is because I still think the First Amendment is somewhat intact.
According to Lake, who spoke to Fox News, Cheney accidentally—but unintentionally—became her campaign's largest donor to date as the gubernatorial candidate's bank account grew as a result of the former vice president's daughter running against her.
I must say a heartfelt thank you to Liz. Lake joked to host Tucker Carlson, "And at this rate, we might have to ask her to our inaugural ball because we're going to have to thank her for bringing in so much fundraising money for us.
When questioned about the alleged hammer attack on Paul Pelosi by David DePape, 42, Lake stated that it seemed to be frowned upon to mention the suspect as an undocumented immigrant.
