The year 2022 was jam-packed with emotions and shocks. The first three Grand Slams of the season were shared between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic despite various problems. The Serbian had to skip the US Open and Australian Open because of his immunisation status, but his year was improved by his fifth career Wimbledon victory (fourth in a row).
Despite having a lot of illnesses this year, the Spaniard nevertheless managed to win both the Australian Open and Roland Garros. An abdominal rupture affected his performance at Wimbledon and the US Open and prevented him from going for the 23rd Grand Slam.
Roger Federer's final year will likewise be remembered as 2022. The 41-year-old native of Basel said goodbye to tennis. The King did everything he could to give himself one last ride, but given the condition of his right knee, he gave up after a while.

"Let's not close our eyes; the tennis player who made the largest influence was Roger Federer. In terms of results, Novak Djokovic will undoubtedly be the best.
The Serb, in my opinion, will have the most Grand Slams, Masters, and possibly even tournaments once the three members of the elite trio retire. At least twice, I've played with all three.
